Gourmet Italia Brings the Robust Flavors of Sicily to Temecula
Welcome back to another edition of “Homegrown.” This time, we’re delighted to be joined by Charity Prestifilippo of Gourmet Italia to talk about her restaurant, what they’re all about, and some exciting news about their expansion.
The head chef at Gourmet Italia is actually Charity’s husband, Alessandro. He’s a native of Sicily and brought both his culture and food to Temecula when he opened Gourmet Italia in October 1999.
One of the reasons this restaurant is so beloved around here is because of the ingredients they use. Everything is fresh, local, and homemade. They have a winery on-site as well as a big garden where they grow a lot of their produce. Alessandro takes pride in the ingredients he orders and always looks for the highest quality. It’s an amazing place dedicated to quality, fresh, authentic Italian food.
"We absolutely love eating here."
Gourmet Italia recently started a wine club, and they are in the process of adding a wine room and lounge to highlight it. They are also adding two more banquet rooms to hold an additional 60 people. Demand has been so strong for their 50-person banquet room, they decided to add a few more.
Gourmet Italia is located right off the freeway on Rancho California Road. They are closed on Mondays, but are open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
We have had a lot of our team’s events here, and we couldn’t recommend it enough whether you are throwing a wedding reception or just looking for a good, hearty meal with your significant other. You can learn all about Gourmet Italia here on their website.
If you have any other questions for us, don’t’ hesitate to give us a call or send us an email. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
